Originally from Dallas, Texas, Kyra (she/her) graduated from CU Boulder in December 2022 with a B.S. in Creative Technology and Design (CTD) and a minor in Computer Science. As a student, Kyra was part of an organization called Design for America, where her team partnered with OIT’s User Experience Research & Design (UXRD) team to improve the tutoring and advising experiences for students at CU Boulder. She joined the UXRD team in February 2021 as a Student UX/UI Designer, building wireframes and interactive prototypes to improve the student experience in CU’s student portal, Buff Portal, as well as in other campus tools.
Following her graduation from CU Boulder, Kyra is now a Content & UX Designer with the UXRD team. In this role, she collaborates closely with students and campus offices to generate student-centered content for Buff Portal and other campus tools to help students complete important tasks easily and efficiently. Kyra is passionate about creating intuitive and accessible experiences for the diverse student population at CU.
