Uninstall Microsoft Defender ATP for Mac

Learn how to uninstall Microsoft Defender ATP for Mac. You must have administrative permissions to uninstall.

Step

Open Finder > Go > Applications

Step

In Applications, locate Microsoft Defender ATP

Step

Secondary click on Microsoft Defender ATP and choose Move to Trash

Step

Provide administrative credentials to complete the move to Trash.

Alternatively, Microsoft Defender can be uninstalled from the command line via this single command (administrative credentials required):

sudo rm -rf '/Applications/Microsoft Defender ATP.app'
