Service Maintenance Completed: Engineering2 Firewalls

The Engineering2 firewalls will be replaced with the next generation of firewalls the morning of Tuesday, October 3, from 6:15 am to 7:30 am. The upgrade, originally scheduled for September 26, was not successful. The root cause of the problems on the initial attempt has been identified and verified as resolved in the development environment. During the maintenance window, the wired network may not be available in select buildings (see Affected Buildings below).

Because this outage is affecting the network at a subnet level, parts of buildings may be affected while other parts of the same building are not. Buildings where the wired network may be impacted by the upgrade include: Environmental Health & Safety Center, Mathematics, Coors Events Center, Police & Parking Services, Wolf Law, Fleming, Koelbel, Fiske Planetarium, Lesser House, Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, East District Energy Plant, Sommers-Bausch Observatory, Benson Earth Sciences, Grounds and Recycling Operations Center.
