Jacie Moriyama

Jacie MoriyamaJacie Moriyama is the Academic Technology Consultant serving the Leeds School of Business where she works with faculty to integrate technology into their research, teaching, and creative work endeavors.  She also coordinates faculty development opportunities, including an iPad & Tablet Users Group and an all-day technology institute, CTRL+ALT+Leeds.

In addition to supporting the Leeds faculty, Jacie also frequently collaborates with other colleagues to present at conferences. Most recently, Jacie co-presented “Not Just a Number: Student Centered Approach for Large Courses” at the Sloan-C Blended Learning Workshop.

For the past 13 years, Jacie has worked in the higher education arena in the area of faculty support and development.  She’s worked in various capacities, including lead instructional designer, professional development coordinator, and distance learning specialist. She’s also had the opportunity to lecture both face-to-face and online courses.

Jacie earned a Master of Education in Educational Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, both from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  

When not at work, you can usually find Jacie spending time with her family and friends, in her kitchen trying a new recipe, at the craft store looking for a new project, or working out at the gym.
