Student Printing and Scanning - Print Remotely From Your Own Computer

Overview
You can print documents from your own desktop computer or laptop to selected OIT printers on campus.
Printing from your room, office, or wireless location is easy -- just print from your computer as you would to any other printer. Your document will be secured electronically for one hour until you go to the lab to pick it up. When you're ready, head over to the printer with your Buff OneCard.
Before you can take advantage of this feature, your computer must first be connected to the Internet through the campus network. Then, you must install the proper software, also known as a printer driver.
Remote Print Driver Download, Installation, and Use
- Before you start
To begin installing the software, have the following information close at hand:- The operating system of your computer.
- The campus printer you would like your print jobs to go to.
- The type of printer you'd like to print to: black and white, color, or both.
- Download the printer driver installer for the location and printer type you want.
- Install the printer driver
Locate the driver you just downloaded and double-click on it. You will be guided through the installation process. - Print
When you go to print your document, select the OIT printer you downloaded the driver for and click Print. Your document will be secured electronically for one hour until you go to the lab to pick it up. When you're ready, head over to the printer with your Buff OneCard
