Specialists in OIT provide consulting for particular statistical and mathematical software programs that are used at CU-Boulder.
Consulting can be requested for these programs: SAS, SPSS, R, IDL, and Mathematica.
The specialists that help you download and license these software packages can also be consulted for technical help in using the software.
Statistical and mathematical software consulting is provided as a common-good to the campus, which means there is no direct cost to you or your department.
This service is available to faculty, staff and students.
For technical usage questions concerning SAS, SPSS or R, you can contact Alex Pearson directly at 303-735-0159, alex.pearson@colorado.edu. Alex also conducts periodic introductory workshops for those who wish to learn the basics of SAS, SPSS, or R. For more advanced topics, contact Alex. However, for questions about downloading and licensing the software contact sitelic@colorado.edu.
For technical questions concerning IDL or Mathematica, you can contact Bruce Fast at 303-492-8995, sitelic@colorado.edu. Bruce also conducts periodic introductory workshops for those who wish to learn the basics of Mathematica, or usage in special areas such as calculus or statistics. Contact Bruce if interested in arranging workshops for other special Mathematica topics.
Introductory workshops are occasionally available for Mathematica, SPSS, and SAS.
