Desire2Learn (D2L) is replacing CULearn as the campus’ online learning environment. This decision was made after extensive consultation with faculty members. CULearn will be in use only through the Summer 2012 terms. No access to CULearn courses will be available after August 31. Therefore, faculty members must take action before that date if they wish to save or re-use any CULearn course content. For instructions on moving CULearn course content into a D2L course, go to http://oit.colorado.edu/d2l/content-transfer.To request assistance with saving or moving CULearn course content, please contact 5-HELP or help@colorado.edu.
CULearn encompasses software, service and support, all geared toward enhancing online learning, either as a complement to traditional classroom-based courses or alone as a web-based offering. At the core of CULearn is Blackboard Learning System CE 8. There is only one type of CULearn course that can be requested for the summer 2012 term:
CULearn is provided as a common-good to the campus which means there is no direct cost to you or your department.
This service is available to all faculty, students, staff, and SOFO sanctioned student groups.
CU-Boulder faculty and instructors can request a CULearn space for their course. Learn more about course requests.
There is a wide array of training and consulting options available for instructors who use CULearn.
